Welcome back Beech Class! I hope you had a wonderful Bank Holiday Weekend. Don't forget to look on our class gallery to see new photos of what friends have been up to over the last week!
Please spend one hour looking through this reading website and explore all the super 7000 books online. These include fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels. Enjoy!
There are also some brilliant book activities on National Literacy Trust. https://literacytrust.org.uk/family-zone/?utm_source=National+Literacy+Trust&utm_campaign=3f96f137f7-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_05_02_09_22_COPY_02&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_2ac9ac18ec-3f96f137f7-27719491&mc_cid=3f96f137f7&mc_eid=b068807e54
Don't forget to practise your spellings on Spelling Shed.
For this weeks spellings, you are continuing to learn and practise the use use of suffixes, focussing on -ful as a suffix.
Don't forget, Suffixes are a letter or group of letters that go at the end a word and change or add to the words meaning, while prefixes go at the beginning. Suffixes can reveal if a word is a noun, adjective, adverb or a verb. Practise these words daily on your own paper or print out the sheet.

Creative Project - Parks
This week we will be learning about parks and how they are designed.
Think about the different types of parks you know and have visited in the UK and even around the world. How many different types can you think of? You could use the internet to research what types of parks there are and what they include. Make sure you ask an adult before you use the internet. Create a list of popular features in parks across the world.

Have a go at making your own magazine! I know some of you love making your own cartoons, so this is a great way to show them off in your own mini comic book!
