Here are today's tasks:
You can practise your spellings on Spelling Shed.
This week's spelling pattern is words ending in 'er', 'ar' and 'ior'.
Looking for an extra challenge with your spellings? Choose the spelling group called 'Up for a challenge?' and see if you can learn some even trickier words!
You can also practise your times tables on Times Tables Rock Stars.
Other activities you might consider doing:
- Design a fantasy insect. This is an insect that doesn't exist! Each part of its body could be part of an insect you already know, or from your own imagination. Use a book / the internet / photographs / drawings to help you if you need it. Can you label different parts such as compound eyes, antennae, thorax, legs and abdomen? What colours would it be made out of? Please send me a photo of your insect so I can share it on the gallery page!
Definition of an insect: Hard, protective exoskeleton and has six legs. Most insects have wings to enable them to escape danger.
Have a go at creating your own ostinato by listening to some music inspired by the planets. Lots of activities are included in the powerpoint below; you could choose your favourite 1 or 2 for today.
