Monday

Here is the English work for today. This is like the Guided Reading that we do in school. We start by making inferences and predictions about a front cover. Then, we read the text and answer some questions on what we have read. The final activity is about the characters and your feelings towards them - how has the author made you feel this? There are some possible answers included in the pack if you would like to check your understanding of what you have read.

You can continue to use Spelling Shed to practise your spellings, which are words that end with 'sion':

Collision

Confusion

Transfusion

Infusion

Explosion

Here is the Maths work. Today, you have a choice between 3D shapes or the 7 x tables. I know a lot of Conifer class had learnt their 7 x tables, although this is good practise if you have; however, we had not completed our topic on 3D shapes so there is the option to learn about those using the Powerpoint and sheets. Whatever you choose, enjoy yourselves!

In the answers, just be aware that a hexagonal prism has 8 sides (at least 6 sides) and in the 'hot' the answers suggest a square-based pyramid is a prism. It is not.

You can continue to practise your times tables on Times Tables Rockstars.
