Good morning Maple Class! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Here's a riddle to get you thinking before you start your learning...

What is always in front of you but can't be seen?

ANSWER: The future!

English: Today you will read an extract and listen to the song, ‘The King of Rome’. Then revise and practise direct speech using the slides below and then make a version of the story.

Maths: For the first half of the week we will work on subtraction and for the second half we will be looking at fractions a bit more.

Today, look at the Learning Reminder slides to rehearse how to subtract 9, 11, 21 and 19 by subtracting 10 or 20 and ‘adjusting’ by adding or subtracting 1. Have a go at using this skill in the practice sheets. Then have a go at the investigation for further practice in subtracting 19.
