Remembrance Day Assembly
On Friday 11th November we held a special Remembrance Day to honour those who played their part in past war efforts and how this in turn has helped shape our nation today. This poignant assembly was led by children from Beech Class and it included the reading of poetry they have composed.
Over the past few weeks, Beech children made enquiries within their own families to explore how their ancestral relatives' lives were affected by wars and the parts they themselves played.
Looking through the presentation below, it is clear that the outcome of the childrens' questioning has seen a fascinating unearthing of amazing lives lived and the sustained connections that they have to our families and communities today.
