Good morning everyone....why not start the day with a Joe Wicks workout!
Here are today's activities. Remember to email us with any photographs of the work you have been doing so that we can add them to the year group Gallery.
Maths - Sorting 2D Shapes
Today's maths is about 2D shapes. These include shapes such as a circle, square, triangle, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon and octagon. Remember, there are regular shapes and irregular shapes - you must count the edges to identify the shape.
English - Comparing more 'monster' poems!
There are two poems for you to read today. You may come across some unusual words such as 'gribbling'. What might it mean?
Plan or create some cakes, biscuits or sweet treats to celebrate the VE Day on Friday 8th May.
Lots of events were planned including street parties across the country...think about what you would make to celebrate at a street party.
If you do not have any baking ingredients, plan a VE Day celebration menu. What might you eat to celebrate the day? Think about traditional foods, party foods and possibly food from the 1940s. You could choose your favourite foods!
If you would like more creative tasks, why not make some bunting? There is a template attached or you could design your own!
Each morning Ruth Miskin (Read Write Inc) will be doing Phonics lessons online. Each film will be available for 24 hours via Facebook and on YouTube.
The lessons are available via the Ruth Miskin Facebook page or the YouTube channel below.
