Thursday

Here is the English work for today. We've moved  onto a poem now. Read the poem and answer the questions, making sure that you understand what apostrophes are used for. If you need reminding about this, you can use the PowerPoint as well.

You can continue to use Spelling Shed to practise your spellings, which are all words which have a prefix at the beginning. The prefixes are 'sub', 're', 'auto', 'super', 'unfinished' and 'anti'. Think about the root words and how the different prefixes change them:

submarine

submerge

redo

automatic

superman

superhighway

unfinished

anti- aircraft

Here is the Maths work. Use the cards and/or PowerPoint to teach yourself about area. In Year 4, we only have to count the squares to work out what the area is of a square. You could link this to arrays and multiplication if you are feeling confident!

You can continue to practise your times tables on Times Tables Rockstars.
