Good morning Beech Class!
Don't forget to look on our class gallery to see new photos of what friends have been up to over the last week!
Today you will be recapping how to use mental strategies to divide by 5, 20, 6, 4 and 8.
Please spend one hour looking through this reading website and explore all the super 7000 books online. These include fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels. Enjoy!
There are also some brilliant book activities on National Literacy Trust. https://literacytrust.org.uk/family-zone/?utm_source=National+Literacy+Trust&utm_campaign=3f96f137f7-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_05_02_09_22_COPY_02&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_2ac9ac18ec-3f96f137f7-27719491&mc_cid=3f96f137f7&mc_eid=b068807e54
Don't forget to practise your spellings on Spelling Shed.
For this weeks spellings, you are continuing to learn and practise the use use of suffixes, focussing on -ful as a suffix.
Don't forget, Suffixes are a letter or group of letters that go at the end a word and change or add to the words meaning, while prefixes go at the beginning. Suffixes can reveal if a word is a noun, adjective, adverb or a verb. Practise these words daily on your own paper or print out the sheet.
Creative Project - Parks
Imagine you could create your own park. It could be any type of park you want. What would you like to include in your park? You can use the sheets below or create your own list of features.
Think about these questions:
- Who would use your park?
- What could people do and see in your park?
- How will people move around in your park?
- What different equipment could you have?
- How could you make your equipment unique?
- What materials would the equipment be made of?
- What plants would your visitors enjoy?
- What animals might live in your park?
- How could people protect the park and keep it litter-free?
