English: This weeks English activities are all Harry Potter themed!

Today you will read another extract about The Sorting Hat before you practise using clauses and conjunctions (joining words). Have a look back at yesterday’s slides if you need a reminder about these.

Maths: This week your Maths tasks will look a little different, but I am hoping that the layout will be clearer and easier to understand. The aim is that you can complete 1 online lesson each day. You may find that some of the work is a bit new, but for each lesson there is a powerpoint slideshow to explain the what to do. Once you have watched this, try the tasks it relates to.

Other activities you might consider doing:

  • Imagine you could create your own park. It could be any type of park you want. What would you like to include in your park? You can use the sheets or create your own list of features.

Think about these questions:

  • Who would use your park?
  • What could people do and see in your park?
  • How will people move around in your park?
  • What different equipment could you have?
  • How could you make your equipment unique?
  • What materials would the equipment be made of?
  • What plants would your visitors enjoy?
  • What animals might live in your park?
  • How could people protect the park and keep it litter-free?
