Awbridge Primary School PTA

The PTA raise thousands of pounds each year through organising various activities and events for both the children and adults. From the annual Summer Fete (our biggest fundraising event of the year), Christmas fayre, school discos and movie nights through to simple playground cake sales.

The money raised is used to provide extras for the children such as equipment and resources which would not otherwise be available within the school budget, to enhance our children’s education and enjoyment of school.

In recent years this has included funding Ipads and Chromebooks for use throughout each year group, funding the purchase of various resources for science and history, outdoor play equipment, creating an eco garden around our pond, providing money for new books and sports training, our MUGA (which enables us to continue with outdoor PE lessons in the winter months) and most recently a mile a day track which is hugely popular with the children and encourages year round fitness.

The PTA also support the staff by helping with other school events, for example providing refreshments for plays, Sports Day, and Head of School drop in sessions.

If you would like some more information about our PTA, please call or email the School Office where we will answer any questions and put you in touch with other members.

Current Fundraising

We have signed up to the Rags2Riches4Schools recycling scheme, to help others around the world benefit from our good quality unwanted clothes and shoes. We get 40p for every kilo we collect of reusable items towards our school and would be most grateful if you could help us with this challenge at home.

Bag(s) can be returned to the school on Monday 4th March at drop off (please do not drop bags off earlier than this due to shortage of space within school)

Please help us to help others and raise much needed funds for our school. Thank you for your continuing support.

We will be holding a Mini Market on Friday 15th March in the school playground 3.30pm-4.30pm (please see the below flyer).

Please can we kindly ask for the below:

  • In exchange for chocolate for our tombola, there will be a non-uniform day for the children on Friday 23rd February.
  • If you have any books that you would be willing to part with for our second-hand book stall, please can these be brought to the PTA shed on the mornings of the 27th, 28th and 29th February.
  • For the budding bakers out there, please bring any cakes in on the morning of 15th March to sell at our cake sale. NB: please can these be in clearly labelled containers with a list of ingredients

Thank you for your continued support.
